Department of Social Services | New Hanover County Local Reentry Council

The Department of Social Services provides economic assistance to New Hanover County citizens with basic subsistence needs. We work in cooperation with other public and private organizations to protect children, strengthen families and help families and individuals achieve self-sufficiency.

Multi-language interpreting, sign language interpreters & TTY are available at no cost to clients; if needed, to obtain services.
